Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve!

I'm officially glad I'm going out tonight because if I had to stay home, I'd be watching this program (which I'm dvr'ing) but I'd be totally depressed if these 3 people were 'rockin' my new years eve!

what are your plans for the last day of 2005? And do you have any resolutions?

resume

does anyone know where a format would be to make a resume? i just need an outline to follow to make one for myself. i've never had one, and with me quitting my job soon, i'll need to start sending out resumes to companies. i'll explain more later about the job.

feedback...

yes or no with the new look?

Sunday, December 25, 2005

Oh come all ye faithful!

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her first born Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Merry Christmas!

FAMOUS FRIDAY!

Welcome to the newest section where I highlight a famous person that I like.

Today I'm highlighting none other than the great Debra Messing!

Debra was born on August 15, 1968, in New York City. She attended Brandeis University, in Waltham, Massachusetts. After graduating summa cum laude from Brandeis, in 1990, with a bachelors degree in theater arts, Debra gained admission to the elite Graduate Acting Program at NYU, which accepts only about 15 new students a year. Three years later she earned a masters degree in fine arts from NYU. Debra went on to work on the comedy series 'Will and Grace' (shown Thursday nights at 730 central). Will, played by Eric McCormack (who is not actually homosexual), is a gay lawyer living in New York City with Grace (Debra Messing), an endearingly clumsy and spirited interior designer who has been Will's best friend since college. The story revolves around the roommates search for love and romance. Other characters are Will's hilarious gay friend Jack (Sean Hayes), and Karen, Grace's pampered secretary (Megan Mullally). Since its premiere, in September 1998, Will & Grace has been one of the most watched shows on television. In 1999 Will & Grace won the People's Choice Award for favorite new comedy series, and in 2000 it won an Emmy Award for outstanding comedy series. For her work on Will & Grace, Debra won the 2001 TV Guide Award for actress of the year in a comedy series; a 2001 Screen Actors Guild Award as a member of the shows ensemble cast; and a 2002 Golden Satellite Award, from the International Press Academy, among other honors. She was nominated for an Emmy Award as outstanding lead actress in a comedy series in 2000, 2001, and 2002, received Golden Globe Award nominations in each of those years, and has been nominated several times for an American Comedy Award. Debra is also known for her acting in films. She has worked/stared in such films as Mothman Prophecies, McHale's Navy, Along Came Polly, and The Wedding Date. She married Daniel Zelman September 3, 2000 and has one child named Roman.

And there you have it! Famous Friday! tune in next week to see who's next :)

i love my OCD neighbor

the asshole ghetto white trash monkey with a mullet that lives below me needs to go.
i pruned my plants and there were some leaves that fell onto his porch. so he put them into my clay pot outside my door instead of just sweeping them into the wind and having them blow away. he PICKED THEM UP AND PUT THEM IN MY CLAY POT.
how does one deal with that? LOL. seriously. the man is a nut!!

Monday, October 03, 2005

what it means..

Your Birthdate: October 20

Your birth on the 20th day of the month adds a degree of emotion, sensitivity, and intuition to your reading.
The 2 energy provided here is very social, allowing you to make friends easily and quickly.
Yet you are apt to have a rather nervous air in the company of a large group.

You have a warmhearted nature and emotional understanding that constantly seeks affection.
You are very prone to become depressed and moody, as emotions can turn inward and cause anxiety and mental turmoil.
It can be hard for you to bounce back to reality when depression sets in.
When things are going well, you can go just as far the other way and become extremely affectionate.

to make it totally clear...

I just wanted to let the 'anonymous' posters on my blog know that if you are going to post a comment, post your name. i will delete the comments or make it so that you have to log in to comment. i'm tired of the hateful comments. this is MY blog where i can write whatever the heck i want to. if you don't like what i write or post, don't read my blog. yes, i think bush sucks. i think america has become the laughing stock of the world. i'm not labeling myself democrat but i didn't vote for bush...and i voted so i can complain. if there was a respectful republican who didn't run america into the ground, i'd vote for her or him. i haven't seen that yet. so until that happens, expect me to be a hater for a while because there's nothing more i can do about it.

A Letter to All Who Voted for George W. Bush from Michael Moore

To All My Fellow Americans Who Voted for George W. Bush:

On this, the fourth anniversary of 9/11, I'm just curious, how does it feel?

How does it feel to know that the man you elected to lead us after we were attacked went ahead and put a guy in charge of FEMA whose main qualification was that he ran horse shows?

That's right. Horse shows.

I really want to know -- and I ask you this in all sincerity and with all due respect -- how do you feel about the utter contempt Mr. Bush has shown for your safety? C'mon, give me just a moment of honesty. Don't start ranting on about how this disaster in New Orleans was the fault of one of the poorest cities in America. Put aside your hatred of Democrats and liberals and anyone with the last name of Clinton. Just look me in the eye and tell me our President did the right thing after 9/11 by naming a horse show runner as the top man to protect us in case of an emergency or catastrophe.

I want you to put aside your self-affixed label of Republican/conservative/born-again/capitalist/ditto-head/right-winger and just talk to me as an American, on the common ground we both call America.

Are we safer now than before 9/11? When you learn that behind the horse show runner, the #2 and #3 men in charge of emergency preparedness have zero experience in emergency preparedness, do you think we are safer?

When you look at Michael Chertoff, the head of Homeland Security, a man with little experience in national security, do you feel secure?

When men who never served in the military and have never seen young men die in battle send our young people off to war, do you think they know how to conduct a war? Do they know what it means to have your legs blown off for a threat that was never there?

Do you really believe that turning over important government services to private corporations has resulted in better services for the people?

Why do you hate our federal government so much? You have voted for politicians for the past 25 years whose main goal has been to de-fund the federal government. Do you think that cutting federal programs like FEMA and the Army Corps of Engineers has been good or bad for America? GOOD OR BAD?

With the nation's debt at an all-time high, do you think tax cuts for the rich are still a good idea? Will you give yours back so hundreds of thousands of homeless in New Orleans can have a home?

Do you believe in Jesus? Really? Didn't he say that we would be judged by how we treat the least among us? Hurricane Katrina came in and blew off the facade that we were a nation with liberty and justice for all. The wind howled and the water rose and what was revealed was that the poor in America shall be left to suffer and die while the President of the United States fiddles and tells them to eat cake.

That's not a joke. The day the hurricane hit and the levees broke, Mr. Bush, John McCain and their rich pals were stuffing themselves with cake. A full day after the levees broke (the same levees whose repair funding he had cut), Mr. Bush was playing a guitar some country singer gave him. All this while New Orleans sank under water.

It would take ANOTHER day before the President would do a flyover in his jumbo jet, peeking out the window at the misery 2500 feet below him as he flew back to his second home in DC. It would then be TWO MORE DAYS before a trickle of federal aid and troops would arrive. This was no seven minutes in a sitting trance while children read "My Pet Goat" to him. This was FOUR DAYS of doing nothing other than saying "Brownie (FEMA director Michael Brown), you're doing a heck of a job!"

My Republican friends, does it bother you that we are the laughing stock of the world?

And on this sacred day of remembrance, do you think we honor or shame those who died on 9/11/01? If we learned nothing and find ourselves today every bit as vulnerable and unprepared as we were on that bright sunny morning, then did the 3,000 die in vain?

Our vulnerability is not just about dealing with terrorists or natural disasters. We are vulnerable and unsafe because we allow one in eight Americans to live in horrible poverty. We accept an education system where one in six children never graduate and most of those who do can't string a coherent sentence together. The middle class can't pay the mortgage or the hospital bills and 45 million have no health coverage whatsoever.

Are we safe? Do you really feel safe? You can only move so far out and build so many gated communities before the fruit of what you've sown will be crashing through your walls and demanding retribution. Do you really want to wait until that happens? Or is it your hope that if they are left alone long enough to soil themselves and shoot themselves and drown in the filth that fills the street that maybe the problem will somehow go away?

I know you know better. You gave the country and the world a man who wasn't up for the job and all he does is hire people who aren't up for the job. You did this to us, to the world, to the people of New Orleans. Please fix it. Bush is yours. And you know, for our peace and safety and security, this has to be fixed. What do you propose?

I have an idea, and it isn't a horse show.

Yours,

there are also local places for dropping off stuff like water, non-parishable food, everyday living supplies, clothing, blankets, shoes, etc. if you can't find a place to donate, consider you local homeless shelter, salvation army or humane society.

Donating

I donated a trunk load of stuff to the katrina rescue thing going on here. I couldn't help but think that my trunk load wasn't enough. So tomorrow, we are going to go to the dollar store and get animal stuff for this shelter down there that they need for their dogs and cats. I know it's not a human need, but I'm animal sensitive and they need the help too. So Casey and I are going to do that tomorrow after work. I also deleted my post about kanye west. Yes, he had the right as an American to say what he wanted, but now that I see it for the 5th time, he didn't have that much of a right. So I deleted it.

hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Look up at the sky......

I was out on my porch watering my plants and out of the corner of my eye it looked like something was flying at my head and it freaked me out. I turned really fast only to see this HUGE hot air balloon going by my apartment. Well, I ran inside to grab my camera and these were the 2 shots I got of it as it floated by. It was amazing. The pictures aren't that great but it was so cool!!

5 Year Plan

For many many years now I have been in debt. Today I made an appointment to get help paying my debt off. In the next 5 years, I'm going to work towards the goal of paying my debt and getting life on track. Finally! It's a non-profit organization through goodwill industries that helps people get back on track. They turn no one away for an ability not to pay for the help, which is nice since I'm going to try to be debt free. Maybe someday I can repay them for the help. I'm actually kind of proud of myself for making this step finally. I figure if I can afford to live in this nice apartment, have a nice car, and be able to do things, then I can afford to pay off my stupidity from my young adult life.

my short term goal for this weekend is to clear out the crap in my place. I'm going to give stuff away or sell stuff on eBay. That's my short term goal.

a memo to my mom......I have a laptop I got from a lady on freecycle that works pretty good. I don't have time to use it like I thought I would, so if you want it, I'll give it to you. It runs slow, probably needs some work, but it's nice. Has a case and everything. just let me know.

update on Casey...I found an aloe Vera plant at walgreens for 74 cents. It needed to be repotted. The pot was 49cents. I got 2 plants and 2 pots. One for me and one for him. I replanted them both and found a cheesy "you're a great friend and you are doing so good and if you need me I'm here" card and stuck it in a bag and hung it on his door. He really liked it a lot and it really made him feel better.
I also told him anything I can do to help, I would do.

the people I nanny for are trying to have another baby. I'm excited! Means a little more job security for me. Day care would cost them almost 650 a week and I'm giving them one hell of a deal I think!! Bring on the baby! haha.

I'll have pictures to post in a while. There were birds chirping (still there) on my porch and lacy is just having a field day haha.

My Best Friend...

these 2 pictures are of Casey and myself.

I love this guy! He's the most amazing person anyone could ever meet. He's also very talented at what he does. He's an amazing hair stylist (he belongs in NYC or Hollywood!) and on occasion, the man does drag. Not a booger that likes to load the cheap maybeline ..I mean MAC makeup (that craps not cheap!) and he works so hard. He's just an all around one in a bajillion kinda guy. He's been really stressed out lately. I mean A LOT...He's cried even. I'd like to do something special for him. What I guess I'm asking is suggestions. I'm open to anything as long as you stay cheap yet thoughtful.

ready.....Set......GO!
