5 Year Plan

For many many years now I have been in debt. Today I made an appointment to get help paying my debt off. In the next 5 years, I'm going to work towards the goal of paying my debt and getting life on track. Finally! It's a non-profit organization through goodwill industries that helps people get back on track. They turn no one away for an ability not to pay for the help, which is nice since I'm going to try to be debt free. Maybe someday I can repay them for the help. I'm actually kind of proud of myself for making this step finally. I figure if I can afford to live in this nice apartment, have a nice car, and be able to do things, then I can afford to pay off my stupidity from my young adult life.

my short term goal for this weekend is to clear out the crap in my place. I'm going to give stuff away or sell stuff on eBay. That's my short term goal.

a memo to my mom......I have a laptop I got from a lady on freecycle that works pretty good. I don't have time to use it like I thought I would, so if you want it, I'll give it to you. It runs slow, probably needs some work, but it's nice. Has a case and everything. just let me know.

update on Casey...I found an aloe Vera plant at walgreens for 74 cents. It needed to be repotted. The pot was 49cents. I got 2 plants and 2 pots. One for me and one for him. I replanted them both and found a cheesy "you're a great friend and you are doing so good and if you need me I'm here" card and stuck it in a bag and hung it on his door. He really liked it a lot and it really made him feel better.
I also told him anything I can do to help, I would do.

the people I nanny for are trying to have another baby. I'm excited! Means a little more job security for me. Day care would cost them almost 650 a week and I'm giving them one hell of a deal I think!! Bring on the baby! haha.

I'll have pictures to post in a while. There were birds chirping (still there) on my porch and lacy is just having a field day haha.

My Best Friend...

these 2 pictures are of Casey and myself.

I love this guy! He's the most amazing person anyone could ever meet. He's also very talented at what he does. He's an amazing hair stylist (he belongs in NYC or Hollywood!) and on occasion, the man does drag. Not a booger that likes to load the cheap maybeline ..I mean MAC makeup (that craps not cheap!) and he works so hard. He's just an all around one in a bajillion kinda guy. He's been really stressed out lately. I mean A LOT...He's cried even. I'd like to do something special for him. What I guess I'm asking is suggestions. I'm open to anything as long as you stay cheap yet thoughtful.

ready.....Set......GO!

Owen Daniel

this handsome little guy is my nephew Owen. I went for a visit to my mom's house today and he was there. We also went to a place called perry's cherry diner. It is a 50's style restaurant with the best malts!! The rest of the food was not so good, but the malt was awesome! I just wanted to post a picture (in case Julia, Gwyneth, or Brooke stopped by haha)

Memo to Julia Roberts...

I wouldn't be opposed to moving to wherever you live to nanny for your children. just keep it in mind. Have a ton of great references :)

I love my job. Don't get me wrong on that one. LOVE MY JOB!! I work for 2 of the greatest parents and 2 of the best kids! I'm getting to the point in my life where I know I'm not going to be a nanny forever. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my life. Unless something fabulous falls in my lap, I need to start searching. I'm TERRIFIC with kids. I love working with them, I can understand their needs...Especially babies! I've always had that gift. There's just something missing. Like I'm sick of watching everyone else's kids and not having my own. I think I'm having a tiny midlife crisis (since I'm only going to live until I'm 61...I took one of those quizzes LOL). I had my best girl friend tell me that being with someone is not all that it's cracked up to be. Now, what I think about that is that if you find THE ONE you are suppose to be with, being with someone would be the most fantastic thing in the world. Did you ever think that maybe somewhere in your life your chance passed you by...That the person you are suppose to be with, is gone. And if that's the case...Are you suppose to find someone else or live your entire life alone? I don't want to be alone. I have a hard time being alone. Tonight, for example, I haven't said a word OUTLOUD to anyone since 530pm. It's 11pm now. Not one word. LOL. Ok..Enough. I just laughed at myself. How soon is too soon to go on medicine for being screwed up? LOL.

anyway, so yeah, Julia...Keep me in mind hahah.

Jenny

something's gotta give by LeAnn Rimes

Jenny's got a job, a cat named Jake,
31 candles on her birthday cake
Next year

Thought by now she'd have a man
Two car seats and a minivan
But it still ain't here (hey!)

She's been lookin' for Mr. Right so long
But all she's found is Mr. Wrong
That's the pitts

She's drawn a line that she won't cross
Her and time are facing off
She says something's gotta give

[Chorus]
Something's gotta give me butterflies
Something's gotta make me feel alive
Something's gotta give me dreams at night
Something's gotta make me feel alright
I don't know where it is
But something's gotta give

Friday night she had a date
Cell phone junky a half hour late
That's the biz baby

She's riding out the twists of fate
She's had all that she can take
She says something's gotta give

[repeat chorus]

I swear
There's got to be a meant to be for me out there
Somewhere someday
I'm gonna find someone, somehow, someway

Jenny's got a job, a cat named Jake,
31 candles on her birthday cake
Next year

She thought by now she'd have a man
Two car seats and a minivan
She says something's got,
Something's got,
Something's gotta

(I didn't even know she knew me lol)

The Cats.

So the cats are on a new diet. i TOTALLY changed what they are eating today. All of it. Sammy has been getting hairballs, A LOT. so i called the vet and asked him about this. I also told him that he was not having normal poops (i know..too much info) so we discussed their diet. he recommened science diet hairball control light. there has also been this issue of sammy screaming (and i mean SCREAMING) at me in the morning and at night to get soft food. well, i'm the human who has to spend her money on this crap. so instead of buying 10 cans of cat food for the week, i bought 4. and one of those fun little covers for them so it can go in the fridge. they are trying science diet adult light (1/2 Small can each) and friskies special diet (they will get 1/4 can each). then eventually when they do good on this (because they have no choice), they will be limited to 1/4 total twice a day.
ooooh is sammy just pissed lol. i figure if i have to ride that damn bike that i bought, they are going on a diet LOL. anyway, have a hot humid day :) hehe.

The Bike.

So, I had this fabulous idea in my head that i would go get a bike today at target because i had one extra pay day and i could use the exercise. I dragged Casey along and he bought a bike to. rather inexpensive bikes ...26inch 5 speed bike with the most uncomfortable seat you ever sat on. so we begin to ride. i wiggle from side to side. then after laughing until i ALMOST peed my pants...WE'RE OFF. we turn the corner and go down the road ..down the block, around some houses (probably 5 blocks) and i stop to rest. HOLY CRAP!!!!! after about a minute or two, we're off again, casey's like "come on jenn" ...go ahead of me ya skinny bitch i'm trying to remember how to ride a bike. so i go, not too bad this time. what's that? you said there's a HILL up that way. OK!! i'll go. at the 1/2 way mark..who's resting again. that's right..ME!! BIG BLOB OUT OF SHAPE ME. the whole time thinking "i use to be able to ride a bike for miles." start again. casey's like "come on jenn lets go this way" i shoot him a look and turn to go home. 1/2 mile MAYBE. i was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo embarrassed with myself, i came inside and crawled up the stairs, went to my room to lay on my bed (air conditioner is in there) and BAWLED!!!!!! i'm so embarrassed and ashamed of myself i can't even begin to describe it to you. it's not that fact that i'm fat..i am trying to do something about that. it's the fact that i got on this bike and i couldn't ride it like i use to ride my favorite blue 10-speed. 1/2 mile!!! are ya kidding me!!! embarrassed.
completely embarrassed.

The story of Independence Day and America's Birthday

Independence Day is the national holiday of the United States of America commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At the time of the signing the US consisted of 13 colonies under the rule of England's King George III. There was growing unrest in the colonies concerning the taxes that had to be paid to England. This was commonly referred to as "Taxation without Representation" as the colonists did not have any representation in the English Parliament and had no say in what went on. As the unrest grew in the colonies, King George sent extra troops to help control any rebellion. In 1774 the 13 colonies sent delegates to Philadelphia Pennsylvania to form the First Continental Congress. The delegates were unhappy with England, but were not yet ready to declare war.

In April 1775 as the King's troops advanced on Concord Massachusetts Paul Revere would sound the alarm that "The British are coming, the British are coming" as he rode his horse through the late night streets. The battle of Concord and its "shot heard round the world" would mark the unofficial beginning of the colonies war for Independence.

The following May the colonies again sent delegates to the Second Continental Congress. For almost a year the congress tried to work out its differences with England, again without formally declaring war.

By June 1776 their efforts had become hopeless and a committee was formed to compose a formal declaration of independence. Headed by Thomas Jefferson, the committee included John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Philip Livingston and Roger Sherman. Thomas Jefferson was chosen to write the first draft which was presented to the congress on June 28. After various changes a vote was taken late in the afternoon of July 4th. Of the 13 colonies, 9 voted in favor of the Declaration, 2 - Pennsylvania and South Carolina voted No, Delaware undecided and New York abstained.

To make it official John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, signed the Declaration of Independence. It is said that John Hancock signed his name "with a great flourish" so "King George can read that without spectacles!."

The following day copies of the Declaration were distributed. The first newspaper to print the Declaration was the Pennsylvania Evening Post on July 6, 1776. On July 8th the Declaration had its first public reading in Philadelphia's Independence Square. Twice that day the Declaration was read to cheering crowds and pealing church bells. Even the bell in Independence Hall was rung. The "Province Bell" would later be renamed "Liberty Bell" after its inscription -

Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants Thereof

And although the signing of the Declaration was not completed until August, the 4th of July has been accepted as the official anniversary of United States independence. The first Independence Day celebration took place the following year - July 4 1777. By the early 1800s the traditions of parades, picnics, and fireworks were established as the way to celebrate America's birthday. And although fireworks have been banned in most places because of their danger, most towns and cities usually have big firework displays for all to see and enjoy.
